Using old profile pictures, anyone?

I changed my profile pic on MyLot a couple of weeks ago and just realized that it was a picture I took of myself in 2007. So, I went ahead and updated it to a picture I was taken in.. about July or August of 2010 (this year, can't remember the month), just so it actually LOOKS like me! lol.
Do you ever do this, for those of us who use real pictures of ourselves on sites like MyLot, Facebook, MySpace (if anyone uses that anymore..) or any other site that may allow you to put an icon up? And is it intentional or unintentional?
I know some people who use older pictures (and I mean about 5 years old!) even though they don't look the same anymore, because they *liked* the way they looked in it, even though it's slightly deceptive.. Is this something you would do? Is that wrong?
And how often do you take pictures anyway? (I feel like I only take pictures when I actually go somewhere/do something - like take a road trip).
What about you? And if you have a picture of yourself as your icon, how old is it?

I joined four years ago, but for some reason, never posted a profile pic in here at that time. So, when I re-entered the site after all that time, I discovered that I could NOT post a pic using my IE browser. So I used a computer that I'd just downloaded firefox to recently and THAT computer had a (probably) four year old picture of me on it, so I used that. One of these days I will upload my new one. No, I'm not doing it to be deceptive...I pretty much just used the only pic I could grab, but it's still me. :)

As you may already know, my profile pic was the very same picture I used when I signed up on myLot. And I don't like using real pictures, not so much because I would like to keep my privacy, but I just don't really like the way I look!
Instead, I put up something very representative of me. A bouncing ball on a beach, with waves nearby.

Yes I have used my old profile picture on mylot. And this is one month old picture on my profile. Because I have no any picture myself which becomes new so I have use my old pictures. But soon I use my new pictures.
