Who can handle more pain, the man or the woman?

Hello everyone!
This is a question for your opinion of who can handle more when we talk about pain or aches in the body or any types of pain. is it the man? or the woman. From what i have heard, woman can handle more pain. I don't know the exact reason why woman can handle pain more than man. Maybe because it is just normal or it is the instinct of woman. The reason that comes in my mind is, a woman can handle more pain first because maybe they are are the ones who bear a child. And, bearing a child is a very painful experience that can't be explained based on some mothers that i asked how painful is to bear a child. Boy's is actually strong and brave but for you, who can resist pain more?

I am not sure boys can handle pain better than girls--I have seen an awful lot of boys who cry over the smallest boo-boo, and girls who just laugh and shake it off. Even in the same family, some boys can tolerate pain better than others. I have two boys, and one got stitches in his face without painkiller because he thought it would be over quicker (he was right) and he barely flinched. My other son cries at every hurt, even if there is no mark. I do not think that makes one son "braver" than the other, I just think each person has a different threshhold for pain tolerance. However, if I had to generalize, I would say women have the ability to handle pain more, and that is again related to their role as child-bearer. As strong as most men are, I don't think any man can imagine how much pain it can be to carry and bear a child, and--even more impressive for women--many of us choose to do it AGAIN, even after we KNOW how painful it is! So I think women win this one, generally speaking.

Hehehe! I am amazed with your answer! Is it based on your experience? We'll i think women can cope up more pain than man. Most of the answers that i met is that women has more capability to cope up more with pain. Literally speaking, boys is braver and stronger than girls but, among them, girls has more capability to cope up with pain as what i have observed and noticed. and through the answers that i encounter. thanks..

Some men can handle pain more than women do. But it looks like most of the time, women can handle pain more than men. Men are stronger and braver but women can endure pain without whining and complaining so much.

Yes! i agree with you! but sometimes, men are can cope up with pain more. Maybe it depends on the person how he cope up with the kind of pain he/she is experiencing. But, as what i have noticed, women can cope up more with pain than men especially chronic pains. they can endure more.

definitely woman. Check this out. Be it labor pain or pain in a relationship, women always passes through it.

I also think women are better at coping with pain. Boys complain over small colds and the most minor things usually, and women tend not to.

That's not necessarily correct. My husband no matter, how much pain or how much he is aching he takes it. He complains about it, like any other human being would, but he continues, even if he is sick he won't even consider calling in sick to work, I sometimes have to beg him. Yes, I understand women are in most cases stronger in holding pain, one of the reasons being because we have to hold a child for 10 months and that go into labor. But that doesn't necessarily mean that woman are stronger and we can more pain. It really all depends on the person, if they can actually take the pain...
