Bluebell is a small cow that lives not too far from me over in South Carolina. Bluebell had a calf a little less than 3 months ago. Sadly, her calf died. Since then Bluebell has adopted Wilbur her family's pot bellied pig. At first Wilbur would sneak over to get a sip just every now & then. Now, Wilbur nurses his surrogate Momma all morning every day. Here's a picture of Bluebell the cow & her new son Wilbur the pig. Growing up on a farm, I know this is a rare pairing. We had cats adopt puppies, dogs adopting kittens; however, this is the first cow adopting pig I've ever heard of!!! Do you know of any odd love stories??? If so, please share!!!

According to the news item...
For Bluebell, a small cow who lost her calf a few weeks back, a 10-week-old piglet named Wilbur will do just fine.
The slideshow called her Bluebell also.
Her owner's name is Carol. I'm not sure where you came up with Charlotte.

Aww! the pig is cute! I don't know of any fun cute stories like this..but glad I read this one. The mama cow might not have her baby but she is helping out a cute pig to become strong and healthy. I wonder what the other cows think about this?

If they're anything like their human counterparts, the rumors are flying about where the little guy came from!!!
