New health care policy - no annual or lifetime max?

I saw this tonight in a link, so I went to look at it and I'm wondering what people here think. It also listed that people will not be allowed to be denied due to preexisting, you can keep or reenroll kids on your policy until they are 26, there will be an early retiree gap coverage plan, among other things. I am very interested in the idea of no annual or lifetime max but I've still no idea how this will be paid for. I have little reason to believe barring some horrific tragedy or accident that I would ever have to worry about a lifetime max, but having no annual max would be a nice thing as long as I didn't have a huge deductible. Actually, what would be nice would be to have no annual or lifetime max for dental and vision plans, but those aren't included in this at all, are they? A lot of people on facebook (where I saw this posted) were screaming back and forth about 'socialsm' and 'hitler' and 'faux news' so please keep it sane here, I don't want to discuss the political aspect in THOSE terms please. Just your thoughts about the specifics of the new health care provisions, should they come to pass. http://www.healthcare.gov/ there's a link with the info so you can read it for yourself

And meanwhile employer plans are starting to screen for pre-existing conditions. I have heard of several that are charging not only higher premiums for smokers, but also for people who have certain medical conditions. I'm glad they are lifting the maximums though. I'd hate to be somebody who had recovered from a really devastating illness, only to find out that I have no more coverage. Ever...

lol that's funny... people love to jump on their high horse when they don't understand or are not use to something. I am all for it. most countries have free medical. we are the only country where we have to pay out the a$$ for every single little thing. and as a mother of 3 i would love some help with my medical bills!! i am blessed to have 3 healthy children, however i know others who don't and would love to get some help

just lose my response d amn. I think its not socialism at all,its common sense to help those who are not wealthy middle class with insurances already but working class people who cannot pay those humongous co pays.so they do not like President Obama so what. the help is needed for people who are not old enough for medical/medicare or social security;why must those who can afford medicinal 'insurance not want the rest of us to have insurance we can afford? whats it to them? they have theirs? leave the rest of us alone.I think this will work and in the long run most intelligent people will finally see the sense in it.

I don't think that I like the idea of the new healthcare policy. The reason that I'm not really in favor of it is because I really don't think that it is going to fix all of the things that are broken about the medical system. I think that in order to fix the things that are broken about the medical system they need to look at the needs of the people in general. The vast majority of people never face a catastrophic medical event in their lives, but it seems like those are what are mostly being banked on.
