Singing is not my talent but I decided that that will be my surprise for my husband's birthday. My husband knew that every time I am asked to sing, I always say, "Let me dance instead". The truth is, because we were both very busy, we seem to lose the "flame" in our relationship. Our attention is always at work if not with our children. We both tried to make sure that we have time for each other but I realize that after seven years of being married, our time for each other becomes a routine and there's nothing special about it. I love my husband, and I know he feels the same way for me. On his birthday, I am planning to surprise him, I will Anita Baker's song entitled, "Sweet Love" What do you think? Is the song good? Any suggestions about it?

Wow! I really think that is a sweet gesture. I am not yet married but I do agree that when you and your partner get preoccupied with other things, you seem to lose the spark or as you call "flame" in your relationship, and that idea of yours may really help you and your husband rekindle your romance. I think that song is nice and you should definitely sing it. Just practice all the time so that you will be confident when the big day comes. Good luck and you can do it.

I will definitely practice. As I have said, this will be my first time to sing (especially in a crowd... because we are inviting some of friend over). The thought of it make me nervous but at the same time excited. His birthday will be on dec.9 (that means I still have enough time to practice)

First of all, I think it is a good song for you. Secondly, no matter which song you sing, how you sing, you just show your love to your husband. You think there is nothing special between you and him, but you are really trying and going to change this. I think this is the most important thing

I can understand it. After 7 years of the marriage, my husband and my passions seem to be gone. We are no longer romantic to each other. Today we pay more attention to the practical things. We will focus on work and our child. This is why we don't leave more time for each other. But it is very sweet for you to sing a song for your husband in his birthday. I am sure he will be so happy. This is a good way to recover the passion. I love China

Very good to hear you and your husband have a very happy relationship and care for each other very much. Oh, I am sure he will be so happy to hear you singing for him on his birthday. That song would be very good too. Please say "A Very Happy Birthday" to him for me too.

for me it is a good song because two of you are busy in you're work but you have a time to think a song of you're husband even though you are not a good singer you have a time to choose a good song because you are showing you're love to you're husband in the way of singing.

I think it will be a pleasant surprise for him. Doesn't matter that much if you perform like a rock star, he'll appreciate that you tried to do something like this to impress him. If you want, you can go to the funny side. Dress like Lady Gaga(just an example) and fool around with the mic. :)
