Leaders will guide.............

Leaders are born to this world to lead. Leaders are pillars and foundation of the institution. An institution will not be built without someone who guide and rule it. There should have someone who will protect the interests and ideals of the institution. There should be someone who will protect the rights and raises voices of the needy. Leaders should protect life. But what happen now with our leaders? How such a leader will lead a country full of hatred, corruption, and even war?

President Truman said that America could survive three bad presidents in a row. He did not say what would happen when we have several in a row. If Mr. Obama is to be successful then the people have to quit arguing about his religion, where he was born, muslim insurection and wether Ms Palin's baby is really hers. He has the ability to lead us out of this but not alone. He is fighting a congress that still has over a hundred holds on his appointee's, one of the holds has not been voted on because and I quote, from a leading republican senator, "he is not qualified". This appointee was the current fed chairs college professor and just won the Nobel Prize in economics. they have blocked everything he has tried including and most amazingly their own agenda. One example, The republicans blame the president for TARP, which will be paid back almost in full and was done under President Bush, and got every single republican in office vote. When politics trumps true discussion of ideas then nothing happens. It is shameful that in a time of great need and personal hardship by so many that we cannot step aside from left and right and do what is right.

I find this response well thought out and true. To succeed, we must work with each other and not against each other.

That is not true. Some are natural leaders but most have to learn the hard way to become one. I think the problem is many are put in the place of leadership without being properly prepared. In some cases, they should never be in that position in the first place. In many cases, we only see the damage after they have been removed from office. Worst is they continue to do damage after they are removed. Personally, I am not sure what can be done.

I believe some leaders are born to lead, but I also believe that some leaders can be trained to lead. All Golden Retrievers are not guide dogs, but some can be trained to be great guide dogs. Interesting topic, thank you for posting this.
