I'm a workaholic and I really love to work. My body is programmed to work and sweats out to function normally. During day-off, my body is sluggish and weak. Sometimes when I slept late, it is really disturbing and I cannot focus to work. I need enough sleep to work well. What did you do if you work without enough sleep? What did you feel and experience when you work without sleep?

I have worked on no sleep before, 2-3 hours of sleep before, and so on. I can't function either, really, when I don't get enough sleep! I usually have a headache and sluggish feeling - just unproductive in general. I think I need anywhere from 6-7 1/2 hours of sleep each night to function without getting too little sleep or too much (you'd be surprised, too much sleep is almost as bad as too little!)

Firstly, it is very important that your body gets enough rest in order for it to function properly. The key is striking a balance of time for rest, work, relaxation, and eating right. These are essential to make your body function to it's full potential. There are times we really have to work and not get enough sleep. We can slightly compensate for this by taking vitamin supplements and again, eating right. This could give your body enough strength to sustain your activities. But I could not reiterate it enough that the body needs sleep. During sleep or rest, our bodily systems are recharged or do some kind of 'natural' repair for the wear and tear caused by our activities. Thus, balance is the key.
