Why some men cannot live alone when their wife is living afar from them?

Good day Fellow Mylotters, I am wondering why some men cannot live alone on their own. Wherein, if their wife is far from them, they have the tendency to look for another woman to chat with and to be with. Just like my colleague, he requested his family to go back to their home country because according to him, he cannot cope up anymore with the expenses that they incur. So, he decided to ask his wife to go back home together with the kids so that they can reduce the expenses and save some money. And now, my colleague stands like a bachelor. Since he is all alone to his room, he looks for a way to be friend to others. But to my surprise, he is looking not to just an ordinary friend, hence is aiming to have a girlfriend to fill up some loneliness that he feels.
