Have anybody heard of shvoong? Is it a good site?

I have started earning online by writing. (On myLot, Helium, Triond and on my own blog). Recently, I have just found another sites: Shvoong. Comparing to many other paid to write sites, shvoong is not very outstanding. Yet, there is one thing that really attracts me: it supporting writing in other languages!
My mother language is Chinese instead of English. Thus, Shvoong is really attractive as I can now earn by writing in my mother language. However, I just have a final question to this site: is this legitimate? and is it paying much? (I mean, is it comparable to sites like Triond or Helium?)

Shvoong is a legit site. Shvoong established since 2005 and has had thousands of writers and readers. I am joined since 2007 and still receive regular payments from shvoong until today.

I am a member there, and I quite like the site. I think the payment could be better (it is more or less the same as on Triond etc), but on the other hand, you can write very short summaries too, so I try to do that, and just write a lot of them.
It is definitely a legit site and they take good care of their members. So I definitely think you should join!
I have been a member there for several months and have not been unhappy with anything!

I think I should join this site if your info are true and might as well earn some extra cash for writing there. I am a writer but in a local publishing house in our place and in our language too, maybe I could try this one!

@puccagirl: Have you ever reached payout? I have been a member for quite some time there and I have only ever earned a dollar or so. It hones my writing skill though, so I stick with it. Plus, I like summarizing books and movies and critiquing them. It's just frustrating income-wise.

I do, I get my first payment after 3 months, and I had just 20 reviews.

I am a member in this site and have two reviews as my own. But I didn't got any revenue from these writings. But I may be getting link backs to my sites and blogs.
