Is there fear in every human. Is fear helping one not to be in danger.

I feel that every humans do have fear, may be fear of something that is painful physically, emotionaly or may in some other way. May be fear is something that is with every normal humans. Still some do avoid this fear to overcome something, some use this fear to over come something. Still I feel fear at times help one not be in danger. May be it becomes much worse when there is over fear or fear without proper reasons.
