This is the second time it has happened.I had the net connection,OK,but the sites were not getting connected.I had previously used the address a particular site which is very fast to load.Today also, after facing the same problem, I used the address of the site.My surfing was on.Have you had any such experience of using a site to "ping"?

Every day I check the connection works, "ping" from the cmd is not unusual for me. I work at an ISP (Internet Service Provider). In my opinion "ping" only is used to check traffic or connection not only boost the existing bandwith. Make sure your internet connection under normal conditions and have sufficient bandwith. You can do traceroute to check which path to use your connection to keep in touch with a site. Have a nice day dude!

Yeah I would use tracert if you are finding a site that is taking longer to load and your internet is connected and everything seems to be working with your modem. Which you can check that by logining into your modem and it will tell you if you are connected to your ISP's network. Generally a slow down on the network can happen when either a DNS is messing up or a server on the route to the site is experiencing issues making your request take longer than it should and this can after a while cause the error on your end that it took or is taking to long to respond or get a response from the site.

you can contact your ISP to inform this connection problem...Or you can check ping using the Cmd prompt option..Before that Unplug your connection and plug it,then check your local connection using the command start-run-cmd-ping 12.21.14.44(example) you can check ping for websites using the site http://www.whoisxy.com/ping.aspx
