arghh this is one of my pet peeves
like this friend of my girlfriend who believes that everything he does turns out to be a helping hand to other people. example: there's this really good singer who just befriended him and now he's singing onstage with a really good band. Now girlfriend's friend (let's call him carl) is crowing that singer (let's call him dom) is his protege. sheesh. he didn't even teach him anything! just drank with him
i really hate it when people take credit for someone else's success.
like my boss as well.

Hello chipesterkhan,
We can't really help it, i mean to others, it's their way of getting more people to be impressed by them. most people doesn't know what their potential is, probably have low confidence or self esteem. but you know, such don't last forever
. they won't remember him taking the credit, they will only remember the singer.

Man I hate that too. About four years ago, we started rehearsing for a Christmas event 4 months before December. We rehearsed carols and other holiday songs, except for a few who had their reasons for not attending rehearsal. Then when a gig is scheduled, the no-shows come and screw up the program. Our creative director didn't say anything. Then because the music director couldn't be around for yet another series of performances, we were able to ask for the help of a choir director. This choir director doesn't get recognition for her work (which was EONS and LIGHTYEARS away from from the sorry excuse of a music director). The no-shows arrive at the launch of the whole thing, and they screw everything up.
Needless to say, we managed without them and got great feedback without their help. However, in the end, they got all the credit. Currently, the no-shows are running the company and are doing a crap job at it. While they're at it though, they whine about every criticism they get.

I know a lot of people who do this. They take credit for things that they didn't do, but they do it because they want the glory of thinking that they did it.

hi I had a fellow page who was the loudest , most obnoxious person to work with and she kept asking me to cover for her for one stupid reason or another so I was doing half her work plus all my own. so finally one day the branch manager asks me where she is and did she do her wor k. I told her no I did it as shes in the clerk's office hanging around them. The manager called her into her office and a little while later the obnoxious woman was packing up her stuff from her locker and telling how she would come back one day and be boss over all of us; this never happened.
