traditional way for me would be snow and you never know in australia that might just happen one day... be nice to wakeup singing white christmas song. so i suppose you'd say im for the original way from my culture. white christmas with the snow falling on christmas day and open fire with mistletoe and chestnuts on a open fire and oh dont forget the marshmellows and the smell of the turkey and trimmings cooking in the oven :)

well the original way is to sacrifice children to the sun god
the sun is in the sky for less time each day (northern hemisphere) and the pagens thought that the sun was dieing but by sacrificing children the sun would start to live again
and it worked every year
those pagens were smart

We will be celebrating Christmas the modern way, but not the commerialised way as many may do. Just having my children and ourselves get together on the day away from their busy lives is all I wish for!

I'm planning on changing few things this year. We don't have enogh to go to Texas or Iowa to see our families, so we're going to spend it here with just the four of us and enjoy it. We're planning on putting up the christmas tree a week before christmas and decorate as well then. We'll miss our families, but we'll see them next year.

sorry but i do not know the original way. i only know the modern way so i guess that is how i will celebrate it this year too.
