I live in India where we have lot of Sun and for the people who work outdoorsin the Sun Require to wear Sunglasses. We get lot of varieties of Sun glasses right from cheaper varieties to most expensive ones! But surprisingly the costly or luxurious ones are generally worn by the persons who are travelling in the AC cars and ordinary man on the road he is satisfied with economical ones!
How about you, for you Sunglasses are they luxury or necessity? Kindly respond!

A necessity. I live in a very hot and sunny country and I get a headache if I don't use them. But I do own a few expensive pairs though. I have maybe 8 pairs in total, and 5 are kind of expensive, and 3 cheap but cute!

absolute necessity.
my pupils are unusually large, and because of this let in far too much light. this can give me headaches and give me trouble seeing.
sadly, when I was at school, my sight defect was given less consideration than any other sight defect. in one particular lesson, the time when that class took place and the direction of the windows meant that I had the sun shining full in my face, couldn't see the bored, and used to get headaches and nausea.
and not only would they not let me switch to a seat in which I would be shaded, they would't let me wear sunglasses to correct the problem.
if they'd refused a short sighted person the right to wear their glasses, it wouldn't be allowed.
to me the sunglasses were just as vital, and wouldn't have disrupted my ability to do the work. in fact, they would have allowed me to do something other than squint at the board, struggling to read it, and developing a brain splitting headache.

I wear sun glasses wonly when I need it, and that is when I am driving against the sun rays. Not, for luxury at all. I have to drive out-of-town some times on the highways against the sun, and that is when it becomes absolutely necessary to wear sun glasses. I keep it in my car handy always !

I don't really like to wear sunglasses, but if the Sun is to strong I just have to wear them. I don't wear those fancy sunglasses, but I care a bit of the looks of it. The most important thing is the protection factor the sunglasses have. I just can't stand it when the sun is too strong and I need protection against it.
