Politicians and reporter have not always had a good relation with each other, but this is taken it to a new level. Alaskan senate candidate Joe Miller,s security guards handcuffed a reporter at a public event for trespassing. Yeah you heard me right trespassing at a public event. Miller's guard even threaten to arrest more reporter after they handcuffed Tony Hopfinger who wanted to interview Mr. Hopfinger. The responding police from the Anchorage PD ordered the guards to uncuff Hopfinger. The guards accused Hopfinger of shoving a guard but Hopfinger said that he was acting in self-defense. Miller respond to the whole the by saying that Hopfinger was a liberal blogger who loses it. Sorry Miller but it looks like you guards are the one's that lost it.

Any idea how one trespasses at a public event? Or did the paper mean a private event? Because to me public means anyone is able to be there.
Mr. Miller may want to get some tougher skin if he is going to be in politics because other news outlets besides FOX News hang out in Washington.

That's a great question but, you know as well as I do that you are not allowed to say anything negative about GOP members especially the ones that run on the Tea Party Express because they walk on water ya know.

I was watching Neil Cavuto last night and he phone interviewed Miller. Aparently the reporter followed him into the bathroom at one point and later confronted him as he was leaving the event. After Miller left the reporter was arrested after harassing other people.
The security guards were there because apparently the school in which the event was held required that security be there in order for the event to take place.

That's what reporters DO. I'm not saying I like it or that I'd like it done to me, but when someone enters the limelight they should know what goes along with it. It would seem to me that Miller only added fuel to the fire when he announced a few days before this even that he wouldn't answer any personal questions. I'd guess his reason for that is because he was exposed as a hypocrite when it came out about his wife, who had worked for HIM, collecting unemployment compensation, which HE had called "Unconstitutional".

Well there are conflicting stories regarding what happened. Miller's security is saying one thing and Hopfinger is saying another. I fully expect everyone here to just take the side of the person they WANT to be right. Of course you've already seen that in the first three responses. Waiting for the facts to come out is pointless when you're in such a rush to criticize and insult someone. Jumping to conclusions is far more efficient.

I think Miller is asking for a really nasty lawsuit.
