wrong to own several pairs of shoes?

initially, i was among those who criticized former philippine first lady imelda marcos for owning thousands of pairs of shoes. it has even made her a guinness record-holder. looking at it objectively, though, it seems to me that she is just like any other woman (or man) who has a passion -- hers happen to be shoes.
i am just an ordinary person but i do own several pairs of shoes, sandals, slippers. some i use more often that most; some barely used; some i just keep for sentimental reasons. how about you? do you have several? do you really get to wear them all?

In the past I had LOADS of shoes, too many some never worn costing me over £1000, I fell pregnant and decided to sell them all as I would never wear them.
I am glad I had so many because after sorting them out selling to friends and on eBay I managed to scrape £12,000 for ll my shoes. I had 3 wardrobes dedicated to my shoes! I never really got to wear many of them to be honest, they were wasted on me.

I don't think it's bad, but of course there is a point where it can get obsessive. I have quite a lot of shoes too (30 pairs in total maybe?) but I have even more handbags, over 60 of them!

Well good notion,yes you are right that every person had it's own passion and it happens that the former first lady's passion is all about shoes.
Same thing with me,i am also addicted to shoes and i am just an ordinary person but i had collection of shoes.
So,if an ordinary person like me has the capacity to collect shoes,what more for a first lady...not to mention that some of it are gifts.
Now,i don't think it is wrong to own several pairs of shoes

Do I ever have several pairs of shoes. I think in total I have about twenty pairs of shoes that I alternate daily. I do love shoes and purses so of course they have to match. I keep all the shoes just until I see that I just can not wear them anymore but it is so hard to get rid of them because they are so cute. It drives my mom nuts that I have so many because she thinks all you need is a good pair of black heels and sport shoes but there are so many cute ones in between those two. I guess that you could say shoes and purses are my guilty pleasure of choice and it will always be that way.
