How do you stay connected on the web when you're on the go?

Everyone wants to always be connected. Be it through email, IM, or various social networks like Facebook or Twitter, people nowadays want to always be on the loop and updated on what their friends are doing. Good thing todays gadgets are capable of letting you do so. What gadget do you use to help you get online and check on your friends on Facebook, Twitter, YM, etc? I use my Nokia N900 to go online. What I love about it is the built-in integration with various IM services. You receive IMs just like receiving a normal text message. It also has full web capability. so it renders Facebook and Twitter just like you'd see it on your laptop. What do you guys use? :)

Did you know that Nokia is a Finnish company (I am Finnish too)? Anyway... The answer to your question is: "I don't...". The reason for this is that I am not that much on the go, and if I am, I do have my laptop, but it's not really on the go if I am in my hotel room connecting to my emails and myLot... I don't use my telephone to connect to the internet, if that is what you meant... "I have never ever used my own telephone or any other gadget than a computer (iPod Touch and iPad don't count) to connect to the internet"

Okay, great! But I still never use anything when I am "on the road", because I am just enjoying the presence of my family Btw... We just got an iPad, and surfing on it is just awesome! Only the typing part is a little bit slower than on a laptop's keyboard, so I still use my MacBook Pro for using myLot

A friend of mine has an iPad and it is awesome. :) Oh yeah, I also access MyLot on my laptop because typing is easier with a full-sized keyboard. :)

Don't worry your laptop counts... it is a gadget too anyway. :) I used to bring my laptop with me too. But since commuting is a bit of a hassle where I live, I opted to just back-up all my important files in the cloud so I could access 'em anywhere through my N900. :) When I'm home I still use my laptop of course. :)

I am not really the kind of person who wants to be connected all the time. I still rely on wifi or hotspots. So if there is none where i'm going, tough luck but i am happy wherever there's free wifi access. But i usually just check out my facebook or gmails. Most of my surfing is done after work when i'm at home already right before sleeping. I have been using my iPhone since d iPhone 3G. Just got d iPhone4 and it says how much i'm satisfied with it. I do my facebook, twitter, gmails, currency converter, games for my son and me (racing, tag defense, etc) and experimenting with new apps.

Congrats on your iPhone4... I've hear wonderful stuff about it. :) I also use WiFi hotspots whenever and wherever it is available. But I also connect via 3G whenever it isn't... but to be safe, I have my prepaid sim loaded into my internet tablet. That way I could control my expenses. :) It's important for me to stay connected all the time because it's the main tool I use in marketing my band. :)

I have a Blackberry Curve, so that works pretty well to keep me 'connected'. It's not 3G but I do have a data plan and get internet, so that works out for me!

My brother has a Blackberry too... he got the Bold ...and I hear the data plan available for the Blackberry is topnotch! BBIS right? He says it's pretty fast and efficient. :)

It's great that we could access the net through our phone. :) Back in the day, whenever I wanted to go online I used to look for a cyber cafe. Now you could just reach for your phone and surf. :)

Ooh and I am connected with Sprint service and I have a Samsung Instinct HD. I will soon be upgrading and getting an HTC Evo 4G. I'm excited. I am definitely an internet junkie.

Ooooooh! The Evo 4G! I've seen reviews of that phone and it is awesome! heheheh I'm so excited for you. :) Do let me know how the experience goes when you get it... and is it true that 4G connection is almost as fast as a typical broadband speed?
