Ok, so as I have said in previous discussions, I don't regularly read the dear abby section in the paper, but one of the headlines caught my attention and I had to read this story, and I was shocked!! The woman writing to Abby said that her sister was now dating the drunk driver who hit and killed their other sister....are you kidding me!?!?!? It still shocks me! How could you date the man (or woman) that killed a member of your family? It wasn't just an accident...he was DRUNK driving! He's a bad guy in my book. I would forever hate someone if they took one of my sisters from me.

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe she's planning something? Like an awful revenge or something.. Maybe my mind's strange like that, maybe from the fact I've heard of such cases.. and maybe because I know a woman's mind can be sick like that especially when enraged.. Maybe she's premeditating something... You can't say it's not possible.. Even if it sounds sick.. The guy would deserve it in my opinion..

Um...no I never thought of that! But my creative mind can definitely go that route. But I think we would hear it in the newspaper if that happened. The way the sister talked about it in the column, no one is planning anything. But hey...if it happens I guess I wouldn't be 100% surprised.

It must have been a terrible experience and an ordeal for all involved. I can understand forgiving the person and being friends with them but not dating them...I can't think why.

Oh I couldn't be friends with that person either. I wouldn't even be able to forgive them for a long, long, long, long time. My family is too important to me, and someone taking them away because of drunk driving...oh, they would probably forever be a devil in my mind.

Oh my, SHOCKING! What in the world is she thinking? She has to be a mental nut as far as I'm concerned. I don't know anyone who would do this, ew! How could she sleep at night knowing this guy killed her sister, and I, like you, would hate him forever. It kind of reminds me of these women that fall in love with murderers in jail, and then marry them, knowing they killed people, and even whole families..YUK! They all have to be looney tunes.

Oh yeah I totally agree! And what I'm wondering is, did her whole family turn their backs on her after she started a relationship with this guy?! If one of sisters pulled something like that I would never talk to her again!

All I can think is maybe she went and talked to the guy to get some kind of closure, and maybe she discovered that it was his first and only mistake or something. It's pretty weird though.

OMG I can't believe it! How can anyone fall in love with the person who killed your sister while driving drunk. I never heard of such a thing. Its as bad as these women you fall in love with a killer in jail. How does that happen. The man killed your sister and you can still fall in love with them. That is crazy and sick all rolled into one.

Hopefully dear Abby told her to get her sister some psychiatric help immediately. I could never forgive anyone who hurt my sister, let alone killed her. Next to my husband, my sisters are the most important people in the world to me.
