Well it is more than a rumour, it is fact. Rooney wants out. As a man utd fan i am absolutely gutted. But... i see fully where he is coming from. Man utd went from being the richest club in the world to now being in debt due to the glaziers who bought man utd. Rooney has had no assurances as to the team squad getting any better and utd aren't exactly buying big name stars and quite a few of the players are too old, although they can still perform well, like van der sar, scholes, giggs, they are still old. Utd just don't have money available to buy players. We need a billionaire to buy utd which then would possibly see rooney stay. At the moment i see that rooney could go to any of the milans, real madrid, barcelona, chelsea or man city. To have him still in the premiership and play against us will be hard to take, as it was with everton, but he has ambition and i respect that in him.

From his demand, only four clubs are able to pay for it. They are Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid and Barcelona. It is reported that a deal was agreed with Man City. If it turn out to be turn, then he will in for a torrid time when the 2 teams meet.

City will bid for him.
If Rooney had respect for United fans he wouldn't dream of the move and if it wasn't for the cash he would never consider it either. This will be a big judge of his character as it will show what type of person he is, is he a money player or someone who genuinely wants to play football for the best team.
Personally if I was Rooney I wouldn't move aboard, this will destroy him as he clearly as an "English" game about him and I feel he would find it hard to adapt to a different style of game. He would be much better suited moving back to Everton or joining a-side like Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham for the right reason and not because they offer more cash then the rest.

I agree with Arsene Wenger that there are only 3-4 clubs who can really afford Rooney right now. They are Man City and Real Madrid for sure, then you have the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan with an outside chance. But if he decides to wait till the next summer it seems that he can be available for as less a prize as 5 million pounds in which case a host of other clubs would be ready for him.
Cheers!

I think he will go to Real Madrid, this is what every newspaper says. But I heard that he considers teams like City, Barcelona and Chelsea as well, but I don't think he will play for other English team than United or Everton. But we have seen many players who have signed for an arch rival directly, like Tevez from United to City, Figo from Barca to Real and so on.
I think that Rooney has a more personality and he will choose to go to another country's league. I know that I would do like this if I was Rooney.

Rooney should opt for Real Madrid in exchange with two players Benzema and Angel Di Maria.
Valencia is also in need for a perfect striker, so they might ask a Chance.
If Liverpool needs him and if they could afford for him, they can also try a luck..
but he needs to be replaced with a perfect player.
