When I am cooking, I often ask my child to help me. He is interested in assisting me. Then he can learn some cooking from it. It is important for children to learn cooking because it is one of the independent ways. And some time ago I finally let him make a salmon fried rice and it is easy and delicious. We all enjoy it.
I love China

I don't have kids, but I've taught my little sister (who was 7 at the time - now she's 8) to bake cookies with me - just as a fun thing to do together. She actually was really helpful and did most of it herself (except I put the sheet in the oven and everything of course). I think cooking is a fun way to bond. I really don't know how to cook though. I'll have to learn how, before I have kids of my own...
