what is your favorite salad dressing ?

I love Italian dressing, although I don't use a lot of it- normally I'll just dip the end of my fork in the little container to the side with dressing in it. I'm not a huge fan of creamy dressings like ranch. It's a mixture of texture issues and the fact that I don't like so many calories in my dressing (I'm trying really hard to lose weight...)

For me salad dressings depend not only on what is IN the salad, but also on what other dishes I will have along with it. It I have legumes, in will want a salad with a dressing that´s more showy. That could be a dressing with mayo, a bit of good Dillon mustard a l´ancienne and even some oregano or thyme. On a salad that goes with a lavish main dish such as a paella, a risitto or wonderful spaguettis with a thick sauce, I prefer a light italian dressing with olive oil, salt and pepper and vinegar or lemon

There are a lot of good salad dressings to be found. i used to just enjoy thousand island. Now sweet and tangy french is what i enjoy on my salad.

Personally my favorite type of salad dressing is ranch. I love it a ton. I love ranch flavored stuff as well. Plus I put ranch on more things besides my salad like I have even tried french fries in ranch and it was surprisingly good. But yeah ranch is my favorite but I do like Italian and Ceasar also a little bit but nothing else really.

I love home made dressings like balsamic. Put some herbs or chilli from the garden and you can have a different flavor every day.
