My daughter can watch the CAT IN THE CAT over and over and over! It's the old cat in the hat cartoon. (not the motion picture) There's singing and dancing and she is highly entertained by this DVD. I am amazed how she watched the dvd so attentively. I've watched it so many times that i already learned the song and everything the characters say. What's your childs fav. DVD?

My son used to watch Disney Pixar's Cars about two to three times a day! He know's all the characters (even minor ones) and almost all their lines! But now he is already 5 yo, he switched to Spongebob Squarepants. I have all episodes on my hard drive, so everyday I can randomly choose about 10 episodes we will watch before sleeping.

Hi, My son is getting addicted to Backkom cartoon,it is actually Korean cartoon , small cute bear. I even like to watch this cartoon with him everyday. I don't let my son watch TV for long,it is not good for his eyes and I just limited to 1-2 hours per day.The rest of the time, read story books, play toys or learn writing and colouring. I am bit lazy to do crafting stuff with my son. Last time my son love to watch Barney dvd,but now he is not that addicted to Barney.I guess he has started to feel bored on Barney.

i completely agree, sometimes parents tend to use tv as a babysitter, though its not healthy for the child, and tv time is limited and some can be pretty mindles.. i find barney quite educatinal and dr. suess is both entertaining and educational.

Children are like that, when I was younger I would listen to certain tapes and watch certain shows over and over until I had them memorized and would continue to watch them. You must be very patient because after a while my parents could not handle it any more. It is a matter of time until, she finds something new and the cycle begins again. My cousins watch things like Babe, Toy Story, Shrek depending on your daughters age but judging from her love of Cat in the Hat, she might like Heidi, Noddy and Winnie the Pooh. There is always the rest of Dr Seuss, I do not like green eggs and Ham, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hears a Who!

Actually, neither of my children has a favorite at this point in time. My son really likes to watch the television show Tom and Jerry and will always ask for us to put it on for him when it isn't on the television. However, there are other things that he likes to watch as well. My daughter really likes Spongebob Squarepants and will sit in front of the television for hours watching episodes of this show on the on demand channel of our cable. However, when Kathryn was younger it was always Carebears movies that we had on DVD that she wanted to watch time and time again.

For my daughter right now it is Tinker bell and the great fairy rescue. Also we have watched the Word World Kooky Spooky Halloween about a hundred times already, ok so it only seems like that many times. There are a few wiggles videos we have seen a lot also. Right now her favorite show is Super Why! I think our one dvd player broke because it got tired of Strawberry Shortcake DVDs. It is amazing how they can watch the same thing over and over and never tire of it. My favorite was Leap Frog Letter Factory she now knows all of her letter by sight and can tell you their sounds. She is 3 so I am impressed.
