Is pain a reason to let go?

In relationships, emotional pain is inevitable. What defines the threshold of pain and is pain really a good reason to let go?

yeah i think it is a reason to let go because one doesn't really know how much that pain will effect them later on in life.

But what if the pain would only make them stronger as Nietzsche would put it? Maybe if it won't kill them, it would only lead to something better, to a relationship more fruitful. Would pain be more meaningful then? But I guess pain tolerance is really different among people and thresholds differ with every person.

For me.if love is true,pain is not a reason to let go.

Hello sundownkid.. For me, if the pain is really that hard to bear, that would be enough reason tho let go. But on the contrary, if the pain is not that hard to bear, maybe understanding the root of pain might be also the root for you to accept the things done wrong by you or your partner. In that way, you might be able to ease the pain.
