Actually, I'm going to back out of this topic slowly.

There are times where I go into a topic where I have the intention to post. However, as I think about it, I realize that I most likely should not be posting in this topic. I might say something that I might regret or don't know enough to make a solid response. So I go and find another topic. Has this ever happened to you? Looking forward to reading your responses.

I tend to avoid any discussion which appear they may get heated, I personally can't be bothered with arguing or defending my point as I know some people just don't know when to let comments pass.
Awhile back I commented on an abortion discussion, there was a small group who very disturbing people with views that made me feel sick that someone could think of a small life form growing inside them as wrong. One of those within the group made evil responses to people who said they would never do it and that's pretty much stuck with me. Including myself to which I simply stated it would be unfair to do it for the wrong reasons, that it had to be right and myself who's witnessed a still birth it can have a very bad effect on life. (I won't repeat what they said)
Just makes you think twice when posting to things at the end of the day, we should be able to put our points across without having them attacked but I guess some people feel so strongly about things.

Yes there are certain topics that do send up a mental flag in my mind. No matter what side of the fence you sit on, you're going to get someone who will jump in and argue with you. The problem is that people can be true to their convictions and I can be true in mind and we can go back and forth until we're both blue in the face, but is anything going to be really solved in the end? Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

There's really no point in arguing, debating can be fun but as you said there's always point where the matter should be closed.
Happy mylotting to you too.

Oh there is nothing wrong with a bit of healthy debate for sure. There are times where it might get out of hand however and that can be a problem. Still as long as its not getting too out of hand, then it can be an interesting and fun experience.

Yes, I do have this dilemma in mylot, most often I have a hard time figuring out what to discuss about. There are posts really that you regret why you posted it and my usual remedy is to ignore it. BUT when friends did comment on it and turn out to be not bad at all it feels good.
Nonetheless, mylot offers us an opportunity to discuss anything under the sun as long as it does not violate mylot rules thats the good thing for sure.

Yes there is a lot of times where that does happen. Thankfully there are many opportunities that can be offered on this website. So many different directions, if we keep it within the lines. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
