Are you a toy collector?

GI Joes - ...part of the reason why I love collecting is I have so much fun taking pictures of 'em. I try to make them look realistic. :)

Are there any toy collectors here on my MyLot? I first got into collecting toys after the first Transformers movie came out. I suddenly became interested in collecting the figures. What started out as just a few robots ended up as a cabinet full of toys. hehehehe. I started with the movie toy line and then shifted to the classic generation 1 figures. Eventually I shifted to the Transformers Animated toy line because I found it really cute and cartoon accurate. :) Later on I shifted to GI Joes. This is the line I concentrated on mainly because of the nostalgia factor. I loved 'em joe figures when I was little. :) Do you guys collect toys? What got you into it? :)

Actually one reason why I started collecting was to get all the toys I wanted when I was a kid. :) I didn't have much toys when I was little as well. :)

Well I'm not a huge collector of toys but I got to admit I got a sweet spot for Hotwheel cars. I think I got something like over maybe 500 to 750 cars all in the packages. Takes up a lot of room so I can't really collect anything else!lol

Waaaay cool dude. :) I used to collect matchbox cars but it was really hard... there was just too many of 'em! And the rare ones are really hard to find. :) A friend of mine collects Disney's Cars. hehehe. At first I didn't get it because, while I found it cute, I thought it was just for kids. Then I found out that some of those toys were rare and really expensive. ...by then I wanted to collect it too. hehehe.

Emerald, B2, Sarah and Jo - These are some of my toys - Emerald, B2, Sarah and Jo. My favorite of the lot is Sarah. I wonder where the other stuffies crawled to?
I still have my stuffed toys. And yes, I still add to them. Although when my nieces go to my room, they "borrow" them. Sometimes they "return" them. Most times, not.

When I was still really into collecting, that was one of my biggest fears --- KIDS! :p I always kept them out of my room so they wouldn't see. Some of the toys I have are really really expensive... heck I don't even touch 'em... I just keep them sealed in a glass case. :p But as time went by, I eventually let them play with it. And yes, just like you, some didn't even make it back to the toy closet. :p

I've actually stopped collecting as well. I had too because I got married. Toy collecting eats up a huge chunk of my earnings... so I had to stop. I still get tempted now and then though whenever I pass by the toy stores. I've seen a few figures that I want to buy. But right now I just can't afford it. :)

I really loved the wizard of oz, there are a couple of collectibles from the movie, and also winnie the pooh I love that silly ol' bear, I collect a lot of things not just toys from those things. But that may not seem very interesting compared to action figures but I like them.

That's awesome. :) I actually want to start collecting Toy Story figures. They're really cuuuute! And the fact that they're functional toys is so awesome! :)
