Dear friend, I feel the resource available in internet is like big ocean, one who likes to read is upto their wants and ability. May be those who love to read there is lots in internet. Only aspect the requirement and the choice of interest they want to read.

Yes I think I do. Being busy online makes me ignore my reading habits. I sometimes forget to read my Bible, too. :)

I think yes. Not personally, I still read as much as I always have, but I know loads of people who think that reading books is boring, useless, or stupid. They're also the same people who turn in their college level English papers in text speak and complain when they can't find proper research articles on the internet. I still stand by the belief that reading, traditional reading, is much better than the internet. You learn more, you learn WELL, and you don't become lazy.

Yes, I still long to read a paperback on bed one day and let my mind fly with the characters in the story. Internet has robbed away the fun of reading books on a weekend. I remembered once when I filed for a 3-day leave from work, just to read a good book which a friend has given me. There are still 3 more books to read but I'm just amused by the various tasks which the Internet has to offer. Reading stories in the Internet, strains my eyes so much and I don't find it relaxing because I have to sit for hours till I finish reading an article or an e-book. Unlike with reading a paperback, you have the option to be anywhere you're comfortable with.

Internet has its advantage, the power of knowledge from your finger tips. You can search and learn very fast and it is very diverse. Reading books sometimes prove to be a thing of the pas because of the internet's diversity and access but one should not under estimate the knowledge a book offers, because some books are copy write protected and sometimes not found on the net.

I have to say that the internet does take away from my reading somewhat. I love the internet and if I get online I tend to stay at the computer for longer than I intended to. I do read once I go upstairs and get ready for bed. I love to read and have to make time for it.

yes, it is. even though internet is offering lot of information, reading is difficult and it strains our eyes reading from a book has lot of advantages. we can turn pages easily to reread and even book mark the page to read later. we can follow the sentences also easily.

Hi, DoctorDidi! I think Internet provide us more things to read. Reading on computer or other electronic devices is reading too, not only paper books. Of course Internet also provide lots of other things which can spend our reading time, but it depends on ourselves to decide what to do.

Not for me. I am still reading everyday. Instead of reading from books, I read from the internet.

For me, it's a matter of time and preferences. You can also read through internet, if you want, 'cause there is plenty of e-books, articles and so on: it can drain away the time you would spend for a book, but reading is always reading and you can do it in internet. Real question should be "books vs internet", if you really are interested in it. Of course, if you use internet to play, watching videos and so on, then you won't read that much for sure. ;)
