Does Watching Tv or Listening To Music Actually Help You Relax When Stressed?

I have been kind of down in the dumps for the last couple of weeks and seems everything is going bad. I have looked and tried many options to counter react the stress with no luck. Tv works a bit and music the same but its only temporary. I'm just wondering what some of the other Mylot users do to forget their stress when it becomes to much?

Crying works for me. But most of the time, I play my favorite CD and let the song STILL (Hillsong) soothes me. Yes, hearing it makes me want to cry some more but I must admit it helps a lot because it reminds me that I am not alone. Let me share with you a favorite line from the song STILL- I will be still know you are GOD. That genuinely comforts me without an expiration.

I prefer listening to music, however when that dosnt seem to cut it, I like to actually dance to the music. Stress actually causes a toxin build up in your body, and you've sometimes got to do something physical so that your body can work on processing out those toxins. Cheers!
