When I was a little kid I hated soups! I used to remove the boiled vegetables, they were disgusting. With the years though I began to love soups. Recently I was very ill and told my daughter that I wanted some soup. She is a big girl but she hasn't learned to cook traditional meals. So she said that she wanted to cook a soup for me and she asked how to make it. I told her that the basic ingredients are onion, carrots, a little celery, parsley and then she can put vegetables of her choice. For my surprise she made a soup with onion, carrots, a lot of celery and parsley and nothing more! She didn't put even oil because she rejects the oil. I have to say that this soup was delicious and since that day we’ve been making this recipe very often. What is your favourite soup?

I always make my soups with some kind of broth to begin with. I buy whole chicken and use the cascass for soups. I also take away all bits of meat to add bites. I like a sort of minestrone with dry beans, diced veggies, a bit of pasta and some pesto. I top it with parmesan cheese and it can be a whole meal.

Hi, Marguicha, is it a recipe for your country or your own creation? I may try to do it. Have a nice day!

I prefer homemade soup, but do eat some canned soup, like clam dhowder. I enjoy homemade chicken noodle, and taco soup. Also enjoy chile, cream of tomatoe, and gormet potatoe soup. And of course even though soups are good year around, I think they're probably enjoyed more during the fall, and througout the winter months. I'm glad I jave a crock pot.

I really like potato soup made with onions and evaporated milk. It may sound strange, but that's the best tasting potato soup I've ever had. I make it regularly when the weather is cold.

I don't like soup myself, but my wife and kids do enjoy it. That sounds a nice soup your daughter made for you. My wife likes vegetable soup and soup with meat and vegetables in, but theres not many more types she likes. She does enjoy putting different vegetables in the soup though to make it different.

I grew up with my mom's soup, mostly split pea, and my dad's soup, barley beef. Later I learned to do lentil and bean and chicken soup. I like mom's split pea the best, but the kids won't eat it. Or barley beef, lentil or bean. Sometimes they will eat chicken soup.
