i have been hanging out with some people who seem to be confused whether a person is just being flexible or hypocrite. sometimes they seem to interchange the word and it's quite difficult to make a person understand when a person is close minded.
how can i simplify to them this topic?

Well being a hypocrite is when, for example, you tell someone not to do something, but then, you do the thing that you told the person not to do. I don't know if you knew that. What I think being flexible is when you allow people to just like bend the rules a little. (Hence the word flexible).
