Why can't people just leave people alone that want to be alone?

It is human nature to try to help or comfort someone, even if they say they don't want any help and want to be alone. But then it is still annoying if people just wander around you and keeps on bugging you a lot. I really hate it when it is happening to me. I don't want to be rude but then it is still not right to talk to them if you don't feel like talking to anyone at all. Do you agree? please share your thoughts.

I understand how it feels because i am like that also. There are times when i dont want anyone around. I usually turned my phone off and locked my door. I do not even turn the light on at night. As if there's is no one in the room. All i did there is to just lay down and let my mind wander anywhere LOL

Yes! That is really me as well. I just lock myself up inside my room and even place a post it sign on my door a Do not disturb note. with triple exclamation marks. The people around me will respect that privacy I would want which is a good thing though. Thank you for sharing.

From my experience, my friends want to make me smile. Even though I am down, they try to cheer me up even if annoys me. They are also hurt when I get sad because I am usually cheerful that I brighten their day also. I totally understand their intentions. But if I am really pissed off, I am the one who'll isolate.

That is really good for you that you have lots of friends who will cheer you up at those rough times. I have lots of friends also doing that to me but then they will know when to approach me or not because I tell them in advance that I wanted to be alone for quite some time. Some of the people that doesn't know that I wanna be that way will keep on bugging me. I just keep quiet and pretend that I am not hearing them. Really harsh isn't it? But then I cannot change my mood easily if i wanted to be alone. Thank you for sharing.

Maybe, there are some possibilities. The disturbing person himself perhaps don't really understand what we want. He might also want to share something with you after waiting for an appropriate time to do so. Another possibility, he really intentionally just want to attract your attention, ask you to come with him and forget all your thoughts just for a while. The last, he intentionally just want to annoy you, as it is hos main idea to disrupt you. It is you yourself who can consider what he wants then.

I am not the type of a person who will be rude even if he's already getting on my nerves being stubborn. I will just walk away after telling him that I wanted to be alone for some time in a very mild manner. Thank you for the nice response.
