I don't know about you lot at home, but I personally find the Harry Potter films ruin the books so I've decided maybe not to watch the film which is coming out in November... I retrospectively remember reading the Half blood Prince for the first time thinking it's was amazing! but then with the movie I was immensely disappointed! The movie was complete rubbish!

The films don't ruin the books for me - the fact that Half-Blood Prince was a rubbish film just encouraged me to read the book again.

I can definitely see what you're talking about! What a load of poop for a great book!

I believe so... First, they leave out a lot of essential details from the book in the movie. If you have read the book first before watching the film, you would see chunks and chunks of scenes that are deleted, because they couldn't fit it in 2hr films... I think it's much better that you watch the film first before actually reading the book. You wouldn't get disappointed by all the deleted parts, coz you don't have an idea about them before you watched the movie.

I like the books better but still I've enjoyed watching the movies. I believe that the writers and directors tried their best in these, it is really hard to put the whole book's story in just a three hour movie. I'm really excited on the upcoming Harry Potter movie!

well me no, coz, it's really different when you read the book cause we have unlimited imagination to what the story is bringing, movies are great cause you see what your reading though there are story telling limitations.
