I have heard many good things about HBO's new series Boardwalk Empire, so I really want to see it. I also love Steve Buscemi who plays the lead character. Have any of you already seen this show? What did you think?

I have not heard about anything about it until seeing your post here. I watched the opening and it looked sooooooooooooo cool! I also like Steve Buscemi. He doesn't look boring at all. Thanks! I will check it out.

Its an awesome t v programe it is very violent and full of dark humour without the characters being 2d carictures of gangsters.pretty much all the characters are complex with different senses of morality and emotional motivations.steve buscemi being the best portraying the corruption and criminality of nucky thompson but with a sense of morality and the hurt he continues to feel from the physical abuse he suffered at the hands of his father as a child.

Late response to this one, cos it's only just made it over here. This is simply the best drama I've seen in a long time - I love the wry comic touches, like when the dying guy who'd been shot was manhandled into the dentists cos it was the nearest place with any morphine - but the dentist only knew how to inject in one place. So there's this guy with a bullet in his guts getting a gum injection! It's violent but somehow it all works. I love it. Treme's starting here tomorrow - more joy. Sky Atlantic is fantastic - love seeing Six feet under, X files and all those other superior series again. Another good one is Mad Dogs. British but again full of dark humour. Who needs cinema when you've got quality stuff like this (almost) for free?
