Having Fun in Life

A while ago I was in therapy and my counselor told me that maybe the reason I was so down was because there was no fun in my life. I worked and took care of the kids but I didn't do anything for myself or me and hubby didn't make enough time for each other. We both started new jobs and have been working non stop for a few weeks now. I haven't had a day off because if I am off at one job I work the other job. Our Halloween was killed this year. We missed the Halloween party we always go to. I might have to call off work Sunday to take my daughter trick or treating. Just sucks. We are going to try to go see Jackass 3 on Thursday during the day when oldest is in school. My gram said she would watch baby for us. I have to be at work at 1:00 though so it has to be early. Just sucks that we work and work and have time to relax.

Sorry to note that you were in therapy and undergoing counselling.Hope there is improvement now.The Government is to be blamed for making both the parent to work to make both ends meet. This puts a lot of pressure on the mom and the children are deprived of the true care, the one from the mom.

i know. I hate being away from the kids. My husband isn't very good at keeping a job once he gets it so I will always have to work. I am used to it. I've been working since I was 15 and I am 27 now so I will always work. But before this old Navy job I at least had the weekends off. They are trying to hire more people so that's why I am working so many hours lately. I am about to start an internship as well so that will be even more on my plate.

You should always have a bit of time for yourself. Take time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life.

Yes, it should be balanced. There should be half work, half play. If it's all work, it'll make anyone go crazy and die young.
