what is the best antivirus you have?

Guy's I am wondering what is the best anti virus that fit to my computer. Because I am using an avira but suddenly when my brother trying to download songs in the limewire, there are plenty of viruses and my computer shutting down. Can you recommend me a good antivirus that inform us if there were suspicious virus in my computer?

i using kaspersky and until now i don't have problem with this antivirus. Kaspersky is updating automatically when computer connected to interntet, and many kind of virus, backdoor, and trojan can be disinfected with Kaspersky. If you using P2P/file sharing application when download file, try to scan it before opening.

I agree! Kaspersky is without doubt the best antivirus software out there. It does everything you said, and protects extremely well. I've been using it for a couple of years now and I'll probably never switch away from it. Also, the firewall is extremely good, and that is very important if you're downloading a lot.
Also, you might want to get a good anti-malware system too. I would strongly recommend Malwarebytes Anti-malware. It's a free software and on top of that, it is without doubt the best one too! So yeah, you have nothing to loose! Good luck!

thanks for the information Helm. I am very conscious about the antivirus because I tried others before but they will not work good. hope that karspersky is okay and good.

Well I am using kapersky it is good but updating it is a little hard to do especially if your doing something else beside updating your software.

Yeaqh, I agree with you oojopako. karspersky is good but it takes time to update and might affect when you are making online business in the computer. and my computer always hang up that makes me annoyed. Better try another which you are satisfied.

well, all people have different likes in terms of antivirus. I 'll try these antivirus if which one really helps me to detect all the viruses in my computer.

you can try Avast & AVG anti virus and they have free version too which is updated daily.I myself use Kaspersky internet security 2010 and so far it is protecting good.I had the very good experience with Avast too.

Really? they a free version? but my technician told me that those antivirus you download for free is have a limitations. meaning they can detect now but tomorrow they didn't.thanks for the information but I didn't sure if its really good because I experienced that before and I don't want to risk my computer again because the technician fee is big.

I personally use avg 2011, its much lighter in resources and Have an average detection rate.

Hello sharonbava. is avg a good one? I didn't try it before and I don't know if it really help me to detect the virus, malware in my computer if my brother donwload songs from limewire. if that's good will I will try that if my avira will expired.

Hello hushi. that's a nice response but we all know that technology have always new , so we can expect that there were lots of anti virus in the market and you need to choose them. Now, i am using a full version of Avira and it seems it works good with my first day of using it,. They always warned me if there were detections of my computer.

It sounds as if Avira is doing it's job if it's warning you about viruses when using Limewire. Tell your brother to get his own computer if he wants to go to such sites.

Yeah, but he is now studying and he can't afford to have his own computer. That's why he is using mine. I am a good sister so I better share it to my brothers. some of my friends here informed me that karspersky antivirus is doing great and they are always updating me and alerts about the viruses.
