I am just wondering if you are a person who spend time reading the labels of the item you are buying? Not me, because I don't want to spend time reading all those calories, fats, sodium, etc. that's too time consuming for me much more if the letters are too hard to read? But they said, it is worth to do that for health reasons. what about you? are you doing that?

Oh that's a good idea too. so, you are not concern about the calories of something that could increase your weight? some people are particular of their weight that is why they read labels.

When I first started losing weight, I did pay attention to the calories on the back. Now that I am a few months into my journey, I have an idea of how many calories are in each product, so I do not need to look as much. I also pay attention to carbohydrates once in awhile. I mainly eat the same things, so I generally have memorized how many calories are in each product. I eat 1500 calories per day.

Oh really? thank you for that.. yeah, I have to pay attention to calories because I am gaining weight every now and then maybe because I am not paying attention to how much calories I am taking in. It might be helpful to read the labels.

That's my weakness too. I don't want to spend time reading everything that was written on the label but just this few weeks when we are attending health seminar, I've learned that reading labels for the items we will buy is very important. Well, just today when I go to the dollar store, I read the labels of how many calories, trans fats, and fats, etc.. for that food I am buying. It is really worth to do that.

Maybe this is now my time to educate myself and become diligent in reading every label of the item I will buy. Huh!! that's time consuming.

Sometime i do, that's if i don't know the product yet. But if im already using it for a long time, then there's no time to waste by reading it. I directly go to the counter and pay. It pays to read the labels for you may not know some contents of the product may not be good to you or may not be healthy for your other family members.

No I don't. I'm just too busy to do it. We do our groceries once a week. What I'm conscious of is the price. If I do get value for my money. And I always check the expiration date. That's just it.

We are the same. I am more concern of the price than the labels. Sometimes I don't care about what the labels says as long as I can save buy buying it.

I often ignore the labels of the items that I am going to buy. Usually I will pay attention the brand, packing and price. I don't care about other information. I love china

If it is a brand new product that I have not tried before then I do read the label. I dont care how many calories things are but I like to look at the ingredients and see whats in it. If it is a product that I am going to take to something where I know a kid has an allergy to a certain ingredient then I have to check the ingredient list first. Like today I took cupcakes to a story hour halloween party at the library and the one little boy is allergic to peanuts so I had to make sure they didnt have peanuts in them. They were safe for him to eat luckily. It can be hard to find things that are totally peanut free.

Like you, i usually don't. Whoops. Haha. For the main reason that i am always in a rush and also maybe due to the fact that i already know about what i am buying most of the times, but i do take the effort to skim through the label of a product that i am trying for the first time. I think that is necessary because you haven't tried the product before, so i think it's normal to want to know what are the contents. :)

That's me too. If I buy the usual thing, I don't care to read the labels.. there are times that I see labels with the new product I buy but most of the time I don't because I don't want to waste time.

From time to time I will try out new products, then I will check the contents and compare it with the product that I usually buy to make sure that they are relatively the same or that the new product is better. I don't check my usually product, except if I have received some negative info on that product. Otherwise, I only check for prize and expiration dates on short life products, such as milk and yoghurt.

It depends on your situation, some time we read and some time we just ignore. One thing is the product we normally use, we dont read any thing about it, just take it but the new things which we want to buy, we should be aware of it. I know it is just time consuming and you may think it is wastage of time, but if you have had (may be never) obesity or any other food related problem then you ll read every thing. Thats why I said it depends on your situation, if you are young and energetic then you can think like that which you have written, so situation matters...

I don't spend time also reading the labels of the item that I am buying, it's time consuming, I just look for the price and the due date of the item before buying.

I am the type of person who spends time reading the labels of items I am buying because it allows me to gain a basic idea of how many calories does it provide per serving as well as the nutritional content of the product. This helps me become more aware of what foods to avoid so that I can avoid potential health problems like heart attacks, high blood, diabetes and obesity. It really pays to read the label of items that you are buying since you as the buyer have the option to buy a product that can be detrimental to your health or to buy a product that can provide benefits to your health. Reading labels also trains you to be aware of certain ingredients found in those items or products that can cause health problems like cancer and that it also helps us make wise choices with regards to what we eat.

Before, I didn't pay attention to read the back labels of different products. When I became more conscious with my figure, I tried to search for ways to lose weight safely. One suggestion I've read was to count my calorie intake and make sure I just consume the right amount of calories I need for a day, it can be computed depending on your weight and height or bmr (basal metabolic rate)if I remembered it correctly. That was when I started reading the nutritional labels of different food items. It already became a habit even though I'm satisfied with my weight now. Soon enough, I also started to notice other details aside from the calories like sodium content which can affect our blood pressure if highly consumed, saturated fats which can also raise our cholesterol level, etc. Our health is greatly affected by the food we eat and we may not even notice that what we are eating most of the time can cause serious medical condition in the end. I think it's really worth it to read the back labels of products before we even buy them. At least we are aware of what we feed our body with and do something about it. It's kind of a good investment to our health. =)
