How much is how much to make a website in a professional way?

I know there are website developers around here that can answer this question.I want to know if it is really necessary to invest huge amount of money to make a professional networking site. I know it will cost a lot but surely there will be wonderful tips that can minimize investment.Care to share your suggestions and tips?

hi insulin have you ever visited my son's website, Midnight Moonlight Madness. He knows a lot about making websites and all that goes into it, I myself have not the foggiest clue but why not ask him, he is working only part time so he is on his laptop some of the time and his email addy is lonewolf@well,com. tell him his mom Hatley sent you.okay?

You can do it for very little, if you ever wanted a hand or more advice just contact me. It really depends on what your trying to achieve, what's the goals. It's not always about the design but what you offer. There's always free tools you can you use to get an advantage and if you buy a domain $10 and then find a suitable cms for your website. (many are free) you just have to locate a suitable skin and add the features if the cms doesn't supply it. If I knew exactly what you want then I'm sure I could give you a much better idea Insulin.

Hi joey_mathews,,Thanks for the comment and actually I nee a lot of advice because I'm planning to take serious about the website I form but I'm still thinking twice about the domain because I don't know how it will run with the hosting and server and so on.My friend told me that it's another case and fee for the programmer or?I am looking for easy to use open source one.

I am actually working on a website right now. My old one is really outdated and I don't like it. I think the link is on my profile though if you wanna check it out. I am using SErif products. It's called WebPlus. It's so much easier and has a crisper look than front page.

If you have a novelty ideas and sound business plan, then you should go ahead and make the investment. Many a times, websites failed because they either copying another idea or they do not have a sound business plan. For a tip, start out using free open-source software. Develop your own after you have certain success.
