No i dont think parents are to blame for their fat kids ...as kids might be born like that only or their biological structure of the body is like that and how can parents know all these .........so we should not blame the parents for their fat kids..........

if it is a fat kid then parents are to blame. who else should anyone blame for this excess? the kid is still under their care. if parents of fat kids would react strongly against what i said then i'd say blame their teacher. sounds bad, right? for it is not correct. i'd state again what you asked. parents are to blame for fat kids as parents are to blame for undernourished kids. a fat adult is a different matter altogether. the person just likes to eat and nothing more .

There are all types of factors that must be considered. First of all what is fat. Our society says that everyone is fat unless you are a size six. I am a big woman because of health reasons not food. I think that as parents we need to control the sugar our children eat. I have seen some children that are age five and weigh over one hundred pounds and that is a problem. These kids need to have test run to see what is going on with their body. Once a child is cleared of all health issues than it is the parents who need to control the food the child gets to eat. I know that my daughter was very small until she reached ten. In my opinion she is the right weight for her. She looks very healthy and not fat. She is not a size six but a size 16. She is very healthy too.

I don't think that parents are all to blame for kid fatness. I don't think it is just the increase in the sugar and fats we consume and our more sedentary lifestyle that create this Obesity issue. Obesity is a complex medical issue with many causes. One child can eat the exact same portions as another, and weigh a very different amount. We don't know very much about the Human metabolism. I believe that the Obese have problems with the way their bodies work. Depression contributes to this, as does side effects of medication taken by both the child and the child's mother when she was pregnant and didn't know she was. There are also unknown factors in our food supply that have unknown effects, and children are far more vulnerable to their poisons. There are pesticides, and the GM foods, and who knows what those things are doing alone or in concert in a child's body. On an unrelated vent, criminal behavior is also on the rise. Obesity and criminality are perhaps related? Possibly. Could more than these two social problems have similar roots? It is something to ponder.

We cannot say yes or no. Why? It is depending on the structure of the child. Some are born like that some are influenced from what their parents say or do. Being a parent is a big responsibility, we cannot just do or say what we want to our children simply because they are our children. We are the one's determining the type of person THEY WILL BE when they grow up. I base this from my own experience as a child and now as a mother. i believe in learning from our experiences, what we don't want to happen to us, we must not let it happen to our children.

I think yes they are they should let there kids eat less, exercise more and be more healthy. Plus if your kids putting on weight you should do something about it before it gets out of control.
