Getting Spooked

Halloween is near and we can just see all kinds of horror movies everywhere. I've never experience being spooked by a ghost until now and I want your reaction to what happened to me the night before yesterday. Here goes the story:
After my online class at 10pm I put my son to bed because he couldn't sleep without me near him. I would usually tell stories, read books or just hum a lullabye, but that particular night he was too tired that the moment i lay down beside him he fell into a deep slumber. I went back to my computer and worked on something and then my husband who was in the other room came in to sleep. I told him i have tucked our son to bed and he said he knew coz he heard me humming. I told him I didn't do that and he just shrugged it off and went to bed. Around midnight, I heard the humming myself so i tried to check if it was my husband snoring because the humming was just a faint sound coming from the wall. But mind you the house next to mine is unoccupied. It wasn't my husband snoring. I checked the window to see if somebody's out there, but everybody in my neighborhood were asleep at that time. I tried to work on my computer again but the humming won't stop, so scared out of my wits, I laid down beside my husband without turning off the lights.

Never. It was just a woman's voice and we never found out. It was a ghost.

@kevin1877uk The neighbours house occupants these days would sometimes call for our help because they get locked in in their own house. They have changed the door lock several times already with but it still happens once in awhile. I think the voice I heard that night came from that house.

That is a ghost. If the hairs on the back of your neck stands, it is indeed a ghost. Good thing it's only humming compared to what I experience every month. Around 2-5 am in the morning, something is waking me up. I don't know if I am awake, or half asleep but I can see the surroundings. I can see my bed, I can hear the electric fan, I can hear the dogs barking. Someone was holding my hands last night. It was very cold. When I try to get up, they force me to stay put. I think there are 2 of them. One is holding my hands, the other my body. It is really frightening. I told my classmates about my previous encounter but they only commented that it is acute pancreatitis. But for me it is real. One time, it happened again. I fought them by trying to move. But the more I move, the more the restrain me. Then my mother entered the room, slowly I was able to move again. Scary!

You are referring to a bangungot like what we commonly know. You might be right and just ignore those who don't believe in you. You weren't imagining. Ghosts are something that is evil. If you want it to stop you must have strong faith and pray. The moment i got back to bed, I prayed for God to shoo the evil spirit away and to protect me and my family from further harm. It worked.

It could be other things. It might be a bird we don't know. Its kinda scary though that its actually in your house. Usually i heard about ghost in school or abandoned buildings. You might want to ask someone who really deals with ghost just to make sure.

Impossible for a bird to hum like that. That's why my husband thought it was me because it's a human voice. A bird can sing thru chirping but not hum. EVen a humming bird chirps! So definitely not a bird!

Hello toniganzon,
It is a bad spirit that want to afraid you. It is just normal to experience it that's why don't worry about it. Just pray to God if you experience that situation again to bring back your faith.

thanks for this Stan! I believe it's the devil trying to scare the wits out of me. However he didn't succeed. the moment I got bag to bed, I just prayed for God to protect me and my family from the devil. Never heard that sound again since then. Have a nice day!
