my best friend is backfighter

I have this experienced last month after I found out that my bestfriend is backfighting against me.I trust him for 12 years since high school.Its just an incident that had happen when he blurted out in our same school about my problem that is confidential to say.I heard about it many times already but I dont know what to do or should I confront him?In fact my classmate got a record video of what he is saying about me ....

It's sad that you only found out about it after 12 years. On one hand he could have been doing this to you for a long time already on the other hand this could be the first time it happened and he didn't mean it when he disclosed your secret. As a friend for 12 years it's better that you talk to him to clarify things up. You don't know yet what he has to say so it's too early to make judgment besides he has every right to defend and explain his side. Who knows? it's just a misunderstanding or some people are just trying to ruin your friendship.
