Are animal lovers way too emotional?

Hey All,
I heard this weird comment "Animal lovers are way too emotional" from one of my business partner. I don't know whether I can tag myself as an "animal lover" or not. But I do have three dogs in my family as pets. I don't use the word "pets" for them as they are part of my family. I have seen them grown-up. They have been a part of my happy and unhappy days. When I am sad they stay near to me and tries to cheer me up (I think!). They watch soccer with me. They are like best friends who are always loyal.
I feel animals do give us unselfish love that human beings cannot give us. So, when some fellow people are unnecessarily harsh to them for their own personal benefits, I think I should protest and for that you can frame me as "way too emotional". I won't mind.
Do you mylotters also think that animal lovers are extra emotional? Or do you guys think it is just a part of normal human behavior. Share your thoughts please.

Hello,JackRoy.Fof animal,I alway keep My opinion that we are creature.Despite human being control the world but we live with animal in the same space that is earth.Earth is our only home whether human being or animal.So we should give more our love to animal.Follow your heart,don't care others.

nope, we are right, it's a good and right thing to love animals
who love animals are good people
as much people who care about children, the elderly and sick people for example, or care about the green and ecology
who doesn't care about any of that is not racional or not emotional, most are bad people
that we are emotional is just an excuse to make fun of the kind of people they can't become yet
but they will, good always wins in the end

Hi JackRoy,
Why don't you put your question the other way: "why are non-animal lovers so cruel and heartless?". I think this is more close to the truth than "animal lovers are way too emotional".
No, animal lovers aren't too emotional, they are just human beings that act like humans. We, humans, are supposed to think and understand the other creatures, but unfortunatelly too many of us don't behave so.
So please, don't feel bad because you are an animal lover.

I believe animal lovers have a kind heart that's why they are emotional. Even small little creatures they still care about it (except for cockroaches or snails maybe). I don't like people killing dogs for food or throwing rocks at cats. I cried when Japanese people killed tons of dolphins, whales and sharks. I hate it. I have dogs and they make me happy. :)
