As they said- put the windows repair cd in your pc; than when booting the pc, press the button that takes you to boot menu, and then select cd - that should take you to the boot menu, select repair, and you should have a command prompt. The command to use would be chkdsk, it would check windows for you than run them normally.

check the boot sequence in BIOS..go into BIOS and check if Boot device Hard disk is set as first..if not set the Hard disk first..then CD rom and other.if this doesn't solve your problem..check for loose cable..but I thik..the problem is due to non proper set of boot order..so check and make sure you set hard disk as first boot order.

Is the problem intermittent? That is sometimes it boots up other times it encounters boot failure. If so then there are a few causes, one possibility is the disk is starting to go bad. Another possibility is some other parts of the computer is going bad. Best is to get a technician to look into it. Prior to that did you hear any strange noise from your computer? If so that there is a high chance that the disk has crashed. You need to replace the harddisk and then use the recovery disk to put back the OS. If not then it might be possible that the boot sector is corrupted. If so then you might need to use the recovery disk that comes with your computer to repair.
