Hello lotters,
I have told some of you that i have this small ice selling sideline in our house. something that my brother recommended to me last year.
am glad he did, he's such a nice person.
It was good at first, when an old lady started buying my ice for her "soda stand cart" and i earned almost a dollar a day. unfortunately, since she had a stroke and her niece took over, but their land lord was mean that they cut off their business schedule that her business didn't flourish.
yeah, the business was almost good as "dead" until i saw TWO ICE Shake stands.
I was a regular customer into the other stand, but when he found out i was selling ice, he started buying almost all of them. so, that's why i had to make a more everyday. i tried the other one but his product was kind of cheap. while the other treats me like a VIP customer
, i don't have that kind of money.
trouble now is that despite of the good quality ice i had to sell it cheaper than the others so that the guys would keep coming back.i can't smell them because it's takes a day to frost, i wish i can have my brothers freezer fixed and buying one cost 235 dollars
I know it's not gonna last long but i enjoy every part of it.
It's nice i have this sideline. not only i can get myself busy but i can practice what i learned in school.
Have a great day.

Hi sweetie.
Well, every cent you make from the ice selling you need to put away and maybe use that to get yourself that freezer.
It might take a while, but it is better than nothing.
Just be patient.
Remember it's not only the price that is important, it's the way you treat your customers.
A happy customer is a good customer.
Luck.
TATA.

Hello saphrina,
If i combine it with mylot altogether, it might take more than just nine months. most likely an entire year, but doubtful if i can save money just for that because i also need money for the
otehr important needs. what about my pets food or daily expenses. well, you're right, the price is not important. i do treat my customers well. but i only wish to have more space for the ice. @ddaguno (3107)

Hi LK! I heard that you can apply as a vendor for Nestle or Magnolia for 6k pesos. They would give you the equivalent amount of ice cream products to sell and would give you the freezer along with them.
Why dont you sell their products then you can use the available space in the freezer to make ice too.
just a suggestion

Hi Letran! I think that is so great that you have an "ice business"!
You do know that "Vanilla Ice" whose song title you have "copied"
for your discussion has a very lucrative Real Estate Business and
is rollin' in the money! Maybe you can think of something else that
you can sell or start some other kind of business. You are smart
enough and willing. I know that it takes money to make money, but
if you have something that other people want and someone (like your
brother) believes in you and maybe invests who knows what could happen!

Hello Opal
,
well,
the investment isn't that high at all. my eldest brother i believed doesn't have time for this. even if he has a maid, she too doesn't have time for this. but i would appreciate it too if my brother was also using mylot with her wife, so that they too can have some fun here. it's sad though that they can't be active her because of their work.

That's the way to entrepreneurial success Letran - start small and then just keep up the hard work. Like Chinese billionaires now, they all started somewhere that they loved to do. It's really rewarding to do something that you like, even if the return is small at the start. Later on, with patience and hard work, you will be rewarded.

You have what it takes to be a 'millionaire' one day. Don't laugh! I am serious. You know how those migrants from china who landed in my country donkey years ago became billionaires from nothing? They took months to sail by ship from their lands with nothing except for the cloths they were wearing. They became coolies doing odd jobs and eat watery rice everyday. Their patience paid off as they accumulated lots of money to enable them to set up small businesses here and there. From humble beginnings they flourished and up until now their wealth is still being enjoyed by their generations. Though many of these pioneers have long gone but they have indeed changed the economy of our country and their names lingers on. One generation accumulate wealth and the next generation enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Hello zandi,
I should have done this a long time ago, most specially when my brother recommended this to me. i wish i could have my freezer fixed instead of buying a new one.
I know am not the only Ice seller in our neighborhood. but what i do realize is that they too had some trouble taking their ice time to have it freeze.
well, i don't know how long this is gonna flourish. but i do hope more of them starts buying ice, but i have my limits.

We have that too. It's been a long time that we have been selling ice at home. It's a good sideline especially here in our place cause there are many fishermen and small store owners that sell samalamig in our place who regularly buy ice from us. we even usually ran out of ice especially on weekends.
Another good sideline that I had when I was stilla student and while I was waitig for my job is that I do customized computer generated invitations. I usually have customers that are form our place too. My invitation is cheaper that is why they prefer me than having invitations downtown which are more expensive and requires higher number of minimum order. At the same time, they can visit me anytime or every afternoon without spending much since they don't have to go downtown.

Hello mspitot,
wow, that's good you have other side lines. but for me, selling ice is a lot cheaper i think. i don't have to have much knowing that my price is cheaper, same quality but if demand goes high, I will eventually run out of ice.
I don't think i can convince mom to use the freezer since it's some parts have holes. because when my brother had this freezer, her maid had a hobby of using knife to take out things knowing it causes such leaked inside.

Congrats to you and how wonderful that you can do this as you are venturing out into the whole business avenue. Who knows one day you maybe able to get a brand new and one and imagine your faithful customers only and specifically buying from you. Shows that their loyalty as customers is instilled into your service. Wow this is great. Thanks for sharing as this does inspire each and everyone of us that nothing is impossible and you have proven this.

Hello hardworkinggurl,
Well, it's not that spontanous as the Network Marketing but at least i don't have to invest almost 200+ dollars, same price as the damn freezer. at least i don't have to pressure myself to sell stuff like in the networking. so far, keeping honest and truthful to the customers are the best.
