How to raise standard of writing & thinking ?

As far as writing skills are concerned--practice, practice, practice, just like any activity in which you want to improve performance. This site generally has a high level of fairly unsophisticated posts. You are not going to sharpen your thinking capacity much by reading about somebody's cats. And most of the political discussions are illiterate rants. You obviously are off to a good start. Your post is thoughtful and grammatical, with punctuation. Just keep working at it.

Hello DoctorDidi, One way is write thoughtful answers to questions being asked. Relate the answer to your own life experiences and add tips or know how to answer the question. You may relate an article you may have read or tv show etc.. too. You may want to give examples or ideas to the answer. There are the Task section and blog section you can leave comments.
