I have a 6month old staffordshire girl. Shes called coco as is so well behaved. She was very easy to house train, gets on super well with my 11month old daughter, doesnt pull and is a very good companion. You always read about staffs attacking people, barking and generally being vicious, i wondered if anyone had actually witnessed this for themselfs or maybe had a staff that was hard to handle?

I have witnessed this for myself. I am a dog trainer. My wife witnessed it when she took ,then our 10 month old dog for a walk and had 2 attack her and the puppy. My wife had several stitches, the puppy lasted for awhile, then because of the attack had trouble walking and health, had to be put down. Is that enough. Now after saying all that, I think in most cases the owners should be put on the most dangerous list. The people who refuse to train their dog like other dogs are dangerous. A great deal of the owners of this breed buy them for sport, ie fight or to see how tough they are. There r many examples, look down south, dog fighting brings in money. New York etc. lots of betting. L.A etc. Michael Vick brings to mind. If the dog didn't do well in the ring ,shoot it etc

No as far as I know staffy's are of the sweetest nature. I have always though that a dog no matter the breed was only as vicious as the person who trains it, so therefore in most cases if the dog attacks someone of something they only have themselves to blame. My dog is a staffy/bulldog cross and while she can be annoying with how active she is ultimately she has a very affectionate and protective nature.
