I was surfing the net when I accidentally came across www.joyofbaking.com/nanaimobars.html ..it's a no- bake dessert that looks delicious! I like cooking but I'm not really a good baker, so I think I'd give this one a try. has any of you had a nanaimo bar before? or made nanaimo bars? What other no-bake recipes do you love?

Hi ann - I have not tried the nanaimo bar but do enjoy a couple of no bake desserts. I graduated cooking school last year and have been working on a cook book for years that hopefully, one day, will publish. The competition in cook books is fierce and so you really have to bring something new and different to the table to be considered. Publish or not, its a lot of fun writing it and if nothing else, my friends and family will all have a copy to remember me by!! If you are interested, I'd be happy to share with you a no bake recipe that I wrote for a chocolate pie that is rich and decadent (I think!) and really delicious. It goes together in just a couple of minutes and your family and/or guests will think it took hours! Add me as a friend and I will pm you that one and a couple of others as well. I have a delicious frozen strawberry pie that's to die for too! Let me know if you're interested..
