I have to give the man credit for not cancelling his travel plans for this weekend in the face of the terrorist threats. The last thing we need is to show the terrorists that they can make us change plans by just a threat, the more we keep going on with our lives the less power they have over us. President Obama for what ever reason your actions show leadership.

I agree with you if he had cancelled what would that have told the American people. That he was a coward and that we need to be very afraid. I believe he is doing the right thing and yes I give him alot of credit and praise in showing leadership of the greatest country ever.

Thankfully they were able to gather intel and stop an attack which seems to have been a blatant attempt at an attack and not some practice run. And I'll also give credit to the way they're handling this after the fact as opposed to the massive downplaying they were doing with the Ford Hood terrorist and the bloomer boomer. This time, I heard "I don't know" as opposed to some "it's all good, yo" or "it's not terror" crap. I picked up genuine feeling here instead of worry that it would somehow reflect poorly on anyone politically. That goes for Obama and the rest of the admin whose rhetoric seemed much more sympathetic to past, present and potential terror victims and far less sympathetic to their own political careers and the way they're viewed from the outside looking in. And I'm not even going to let my cynical side say that, because we're so close to elections, they couldn't afford to pass this off as nothing. I would much rather believe they simply decided to take it seriously, as it should be taken, and to do away with the deflecting nonsense. And that's a big step, in my opinion. I've been thrilled with Obama's willingness to go through with the drone program and the additional troops (ahh, numbers schmumbers) - steps which seem to be working on the ground. This guy can do a lot of things right, I think, but he gets in his own way at no fault of his own, ironically. You are what you are. Of course, "right" is subjective and is relative to me in this case. But I'm as American as any other American, so wanting honesty and levelheadedness and not run-around rhetoric and structure for a 180 is not a lot to seek from my President. As far as any further threats go from terrorist scum, they're always threatening.
