My baby boy is now 11 months old. We went to swimming with my friends and their babies. I was watching my baby very happy playing in the pool. I am just thinking of getting him a swimming lesson. Is it a right decision or too young for him? Is it not dangerous?

Some ladies have a water birth and so these babies experience water as soon as they come out into the world. Other babies might enjoy having a bath. Some babies like to go to a swimming pool. A baby of 11 to 12 months could easily learn to swim if confident in water. I am thinking of getting swimming lessons for a 3 year old disabled son and 16 month old daughter. My son can't stand and his legs don't move much. I recommend you give your son swimming lessons.

From what i know of they don't give swimming lessons to children that little. I think they can start lessons when the child is about 4years old here. It could be different for you though. My kids like swimming aswell, but prefer to mess about in the water.. but as they are only 2 years old and 4 years old its not really an issue.
