I knew a boy who hated it. He would get a terrible headache in any crowded room from being overwhelmed by people's thoughts. It is hard to believe such a thing, but in seven years I just saw too much evidence that he was grabbing information straight out of my head!

There was a movie in one of the regional languages of my country in which the central character suddenly is gifted with the power to listen to other peoples thoughts. It was a very good comedy. At first he enjoys the experience as he can hear what everybody is saying .However it turns out to be an irritant as things start to happen and he lands in one trouble after another. It also creates problems with his girlfriend and she leaves him. Finally he meets with an accident which causes that poer to vanish. He becomes an ordinay person and wins his love back again.Such a gift can have both advantages as well as disadvantages. If one can keep ones senses intact then one can turn it into an advantage but if one loses control then it can land you into trouble. Moreover if you don`t have the power to switch off and switch on at will then it can drive insane as you will be hearing continuous conversations the entire day which will bring mental tiredness and weakness.I, for one, would not want to have this gift and would want to remain my own self.As it is the mind always carries out nonstop conversations and to start hearing other peoples thoughts and mental conversations would be asking a bit too much.

That's a torture for me, imagine you can hear a lot of people's mind and perhaps you wouldnt be able to know which has to be followed, lol. Still I don't wanna know what others think I just want to leave it that way in a sense that if I may know what is in someone's mind it might be bothersome at some point.
If there's other option which gift to choose from, I guess I would pick something else.
