Halloween Movies

It's that scary weekend- Halloween Weekend! Unfortunately, I'm at that stage of my life where it doesn't mean much to me. I'm not young enough to go trick or treating. I'm not around many people my age to go partying with. I don't have any kids to celebrate the holiday through. It's just me. That's why I started thinking maybe I should watch some Halloween movies. What kind of Halloween movies do you like to watch? The classic horror films: Dracula, Nosferatu, Werewolves, etc. The creepy horror movies: Friday the 13th, It, The Blob, etc. Or the recent horror films: Saw, Paranormal, etc. Or maybe you want the fun, campy Halloween movies: Hocus Pocus, The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc. What's your favorite/type of movie do you want to watch this weekend?

Well, if you're not a scaredy cat you could watch the really scary Halloween movies, like Friday the 13th, Saw ,Chucky, and the like..But if you're like me who gets scared pretty easily, then Haunted Mansion and other comedy-horror films will be perfect. But I love those Vampire films and werewolf films the most..

I admit it. I'm a scaredy cat. LOL. I've left my horror movie days behind me. It's funny, but Chucky and Jason and Freddy Kruger didn't bother him when I was young. Now, though, I can't watch them. lol. Give me the comedy-horror films.

Yeah, I'm not scared of slasher films, but I'm more scared of ghosts-especially those Asian films, Japanese and Korean and Thailand horror movies...they're really scary. I couldn't sleep for weeks after watching the grudge, ring, shutter,etc... Some of the comedy/horror movies are Haunted Mansion [eddie murphy], Casper :D, the scary movie series [i find them funny], Seed of Chucky is also funny, I can't think of anything else since i watch really scary movies more..I like scaring myself.

I haven't heard of that movie. Is that part of the Ernest series like Ernest Saves Christmas? If it is, I'm sure it is really funny and crazy. You have a great day too

Its a good thing I won't have to think of what to watch this Halloween. TV channels here usually have Halloween specials like documentaries about haunted places, stories about "engkanto", and all those scary stuff they save for the Halloween. I prefer watching those movies about ghosts and "engkanto". I don't like those serial killer movies.

My favorite type is horror I love the Jason series as well as the Micheal Myer's movies. I'm more of a classic movie dude too so I'll mix up some psycho along with some Freddy Kruger cant go wrong with that. Oh yea can't forget Tim Burtons's "The Nightmare Before Christmas".

I watched the Amityville Horror last night (2005 version). I like to get into the spirit of the holidays by renting movies related to the occasion. Tonight I've got another scary movie to watch. I don't really like gore, like the Saw movies. I like movies like The Others, because it's scary and creepy, but I won't see a lot of guts coming out of someone. When I was younger I liked Scream and I Know What You did Last Summer. Although it's fun to catch them on cable, I've kind of grown out of them.

Scary and creepy movies without the gore intrigue me. I usually don't want to watch it again, but there is something enthralling about them that you don't get from the gory movies. At least in my opinion. Happy Halloween

I go trick or treating with my kids and wife so most of my night is time spend doing that other than carving a pumpkin. There has been a few movies on television the past few days but nothing i'm really interesting in watching. I am interested in watching hocus pocus, halloween and friday the 13th. My kids want to watch the new monsters vs aliens halloween version.

Oh, I haven't carved a pumpkin in years. I was never good at it but it was fun making a mess. lol. Well I think those movies should be coming on sometime today or tomorrow. I hope you and your family will have fun trick or treating.

Just like you I do also stay at home and has a good day relaxing, although it would seemed to watched horror movies to suit for the holidays and I am not so into those kind hence, I do pick random movies. I just did six of them today and that includes Centurion, Knight and Day, Up, Wall Street Money, Knowing and Dear John. I like it during this part of the year when you can rest at home, eat, sleep and gee do the movie marathon. I am thinking of doing the same thing tomorrow, haha, fun !

During the last week is the best time to see the most horror movies. I don't care that much about trick or treating anymore. I do love the fear fests that different movie channels at this time of the year.

More and more people are looking for movies online. Its like the best source to find unusual and underground movies. I don't know why you don't like your country's movies anymore. Which country are you from?

Same here. I can't go trick or treating, haven't really experienced it during my childhood. I know, so sad. Well, I'd love to see more classic horror films. Those that are on the list of best horror movies of all time. I think it's hard to find a copy of such movies nowadays though. As of now, me and my sisters usually watch recent horror films. Many of them are really good movies even those Asian films that are quite difficult to watch because we still have to read the English subtitle but it's all worth it. In watching recent horror films, I think we have bigger expectations since the writers and directors of today can almost make or do just about anything their creative minds can possibly think of, of course with the help of new technologies that can create outstanding special effects. It's really great to watch scary or horror movies that make you scream, have goosebumps, give you sleepless nights or nightmares, etc. especially this halloween season. =)

Today's technology has helped directors and producers portray whatever was in their heads on film. I'm sure most films today could not have even been imagined being made decades ago. I'm not really into the movies that give me nightmares. In fact I try to avoid them. lol. But my cousin is all into those kind of movies. She LOVES them. She loves horror films and going into haunted houses. Happy Halloween

I used to avoid watching horror movies especially when I was a kid. I also get scared easily. But now, I'm liking these type of films more because of my sisters who really love horror movies and watch them most of the time. We hang out together very often so I didn't have much of a choice at first until eventually, I got more used to it. Happy halloween too. :)
