Pumpkin Season

My Pumpkin - A pumpkin that myself and my wife carved together for our children to enjoy.

This isn't really something very popular where I live, we don't seem to celebrate Halloween as much you see in the states but it is becoming popular. I usually get into the spirit of things by carving a pumpkin with my wife, so how our children can enjoy Halloween to the fullest. Do you carve a pumpkin? I've attached mine in the photo below, I would love to hear about what you do + even see any images you would like to share. Happy Mylotting + Halloween :)

You did a good job. I haven't carved a Jack 'O Lantern in quite some time. I miss carving out a pumpkin and dumping out the "pumpkin guts". : )

That sounds pretty cool, do you make it look like the pumpkin's actually alive when you dump the insides? Until we moved here we hadn't done it for awhile, the last time I was very young and my wife only did it with her family but I think she had very little involvement with it. It's cool to work together, she makes a very good face.

My sister and I used to throw the pumpkin guts at each other when we were younger. My mom did not like that!

Oh.. LOL Hey, Least you had fun. I don't like the inside myself, although I had no problem scooping it out but I would hate it to be throw at me. I thought you used it to add effect to your pumpkin ;)

How kewl! I get a pumpkin every fall and keep it until Thanksgiving and then make a pie out of it. Therefore, I do not carve mine, but usually I draw a face on it. After it has served as a decoration, then I scoop out the seeds to dry and eat and cook the flesh to use for the pie/s.

I'm not a fan of the taste of pumpkin, have you ever made soup out of it drannhh? I haven't tried pie myself. Thanks for sharing your response.

I have had squash soup, but not yet pumpkin. I have made pumpkin custard, though...sort of like crustless pie. I like cinnamon and other pie spices.

I love Halloween, although I don't do anything special. I like to go out trick or treating with the grandkids. My grandson loves it when I go, I like to dress up as Santa Claus, last year I did and had my picture taken three times by different people. It looks like I am staying home this year. Happy Halloween to you and your family. Will you go trick or treating with the kids?

Santa Claus? Haha That's a shame that your not doing anything, I guess you have more time to relax though and that's only if nobody keeps you at the door. :) Yeah, We went earlier although there very few houses which was giving treats out but my children loved it none the less. We actually focused more on catching up with family and friends, walked to grandmas and she gave them a huge amount of chocolate, sweets etc. It's nice to see more people doing it, just wished a few more would.

You did a great job Joey. I let my husband do all the pumpkin carving. I am always deathly afraid I will cut my fingers off. I don't even like to watch the pumpkin being carved. I am usually not scared of stuff like that, but for some reason, I am so I am better off in another room. Happy Halloween to you and your family.
